1981 Tokai Love Rock LS-120 with Solid Flamed Maple Top

This Tokai Love Rock from 1981 is either an LS-120 or an LS-150. If it's an LS-150, it's unusual because unlike most LS-150s it was made with Tokai's circuit-board control cavity wiring. If it's an LS-120, it's unusual because instead of the LS-120's usual veneer top, the top on this one is actual, solid flamed maple.

You can decide for yourself which feature is more important -- the control cavity wiring or the gorgeous solid flamed maple top. We'll go for the top and not lose sleep about which model designation to apply to it. Call it what you will, this LP is one of the best of the best of Tokai's Les Paul copies from the 1979-1982 period universally adjudged to represent the pinnacle of the company's production.

In addition to its solid flamed maple top, it has a beefy one-piece neck with bound fret ends, DiMarzio vintage pickups, a one-piece mahogany back and a 100% lacquer finish.
This 9 lb 8 0z (4.3 kg) Love Rock is in excellent condition with minimal fret wear and comes with its original Tokai "burl" leatherette-covered hardshell case.
